At Janssens Orchards we see ourselves as partners with our customers, employees, communities and the environment. We are committed to cultivating new ways of seeing, thinking about and acting with our ecosystem, using methods that minimize the environmental impact of our farms.
We are passionate about the food we grow, maintaining high levels of quality. It is important to us that our customers know how we produce their food and why we grow it the way we do. For gardeners, the information we share helps them to make informed choices when they are creating and maintaining their own gardens.
We currently have 1-2 acres of intensively managed garden beds where we grow a variety of annual crops for our customers. We also grow a variety of perennials such as fruit and nut trees, berry bushes, vines, shrubs, etc.
Since we are using as much available space as possible we are constructing a number of windbreaks on the property using edible crop bearing trees and shrubs as well. Check for availability of produce as the season progresses.
Currently we are building up our stock of perennials, trees, and shrubs for sale. We maintain a nursery for our own use as well as offering plants for sale. Please check with the site to see when these plants are available.
In the spring and summer we offer historical (pre-1900) varieties of flowers, vegetables and herbs for sale. When your plants are ready we will contact you so that you indicate your delivery or pick up preference. We do offer a planting service if you need assistance or are short on time.
